Today is a big day for our house. We all are actively dating and we all got at least one delivery of flowers from a boyfriend. When I got to work there were two boxes of chocolates waiting for me in my cubicle. I love Valentine’s Day!

Christmas is coming FAST!!!

I don’t know what it is about school starting back but the next thing you know, Christmas is just around the corner. Now is the time to start planning for those Christmas expenses too. Everyone loves to give at Christmas so money has to be planned out well in advance. There’s nothing I hate more than having to pay for Christmas all year and then start all over again just when you get it all paid for. You know what I’m saying?

One thing that a lot of people are doing now is getting cash loans to start their shopping early. With cash loans, people can exchange your gift is you got them something that doesn’t fit or just totally doesn’t tickle their fancy. We have all gotten those types of gifts, haven’t we. With a credit card, that can be hard for them sometime. I have had to go with family members to exchange their gifts and that was very uncomfortable for them and me both. Not to mention, with cash loans, you can pay for most anything you find yourself in need of, not just the holidays. Cash loans come in awfully handy from time to time so maybe it’s an option you should check out. Even I have check into them.

Well my father is 78 today. I’m so glad that I still have him because he has had 7 heart attacks already and is still kicking. I can’t help but to worry if and/or when he has another one, that might be the last one. But I’m not worrying about all of that. I’m just going to enjoy him while he’s still with us. Besides, God isn’t going to take him until it’s his time to go and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it when it’s his turn.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY AND HOPEFULLY MANY, MANY MORE!! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Our annual October trip

Every year since we were little, my mother would take my sisters and I to New York City in October. We always looked so forward to the trip too. Movies are fun but to see a play on stage, there is no comparison. Mom is taking us to the Musical Theater Festival this year and trust me, none of us can wait. I love musicals! To me, they are the best plays you can see. I have seen several and never get tired of watching musicals. If you haven’t ever been to the theater, I highly recommend it.

Since Mom got her own computer, she has found great Vacation Rental Deals online so we don’t have to worry so much about the cost of our accommodations like we used to. The trip can be rather costly if you don’t shop around and my mother is the best at finding deals for us. I guess that’s part of why we are so careful with our money too. I feel like a little girl looking forward to Christmas or her birthday because I’m looking so forward to this trip. It’s our time with our mother and time is so very precious. ‘Enjoy it while you still can’ is my mothers motto. Mine too pretty much!!!

Oh yeah, fashion!

One thing I can say about the new first lady is that Michele Obama has made quite a fashion statement in Washington DC and everywhere else in the country in all reality. I love her style and the fact that she dresses in a fashion that many others could afford instead of only wearing high priced designer clothes. Even her watches make a statement. I’m sure you have heard plenty about her fashion sense but just in case you haven’t, you can check out the New York Daily News and see a wonderful article on both Michele and her fashion sense.

One thing that I think will be under a lot of Christmas trees this Christmas is the toy watch. Have you seen them? They are absolutely a fashion statement that most women and girls will be dreaming of for Christmas. I would call them the next the Fashion Bomb of the season. I know I would love to have one so maybe I’ll have to buy myself one or add it to my Christmas list to Santa. You still believe in Santa don’t you? Well if not, you can expect a lump of coal in your stocking instead of the toy watch you were hoping for.

It’s Friday and a 3 day weekend too!!

Well all I have to say is thank goodness it’s Friday and we have a long weekend too. Do you have big plans? Well we do. We’re going to the beach for the holiday and celebrate Labor Day and the end of summer the right way. That would be soaking up some sun, salt water and grilling out all weekend long.

I really hope all of you have a safe and happy Labor Day. Enjoy!!!!

It’s Memorial Day weekend!

Even though this is a three day weekend, it has a lot of meaning to go along with the weekend. It’s Memorial Day. A day in which we remember those that have fallen to see to it that we have the freedoms that we have today. They gave everything for us!! If you know a veteran, make sure to tell them ‘Thank You’ this weekend because they were one of the lucky ones that made it home to their families. Far too many have not. So when you’re roasting your hot dogs and hamburgers, remember to say a little prayer of thanks to those who have gone and ask God to protect those that are in harms way today.

I have always been drawn to Big and Tall men and I honestly think it’s because my Daddy is a Big and Tall guy. You know what they say about a girls father, he’s the first man she falls in love with. Well I know how hard it is to find Big and Tall Mens Clothing. It’s not that easy at all. In fact, just trying to buy a pair of Big and Tall pants or Big and Tall shirts can sometimes be quite an undertaking. Well it’s almost time for Fathers Day so I checked online and found these great pants and shirts for Big and Tall Men. Daddy’s going to be so surprised. I can’t wait to give the to him knowing they’ll be long enough and fit like they should.

I admit it, I’m a terrible sister. I thought today was May the 7th and my sisters birthday was tomorrow May the 8th. Well I just now figured out that today is May the 8th and I have talked to my sister three times today and didn’t tell her ‘Happy Birthday’ not once!!! When I finally figured it out, I called her and she said she was going to wait until this evening and then call me and give me a hard time about not remembering here birthday. I begged her forgiveness and she said it was okay, she would just forget mine!!! I love my sister!!! Now I have to go shopping to get her something!

I love Easter. It’s a time we celebrate the rise of Jesus from the grave and it symbolizes a new beginning or new life to me. The flowers are coming up and blooming, the trees are coming out an so are the allergies!! At any rate, it’s the time of year we all look forward to because it also is the symbol of Spring finally being here. Hopefully that means the temperatures will keep rising too. Anyway, here’s hoping you have a wonderful Easter full of hope and the promise that things will renew themselves.
