This week I went a little crazy and bought 5 different kinds of pastas. The good thing about that is that the Hunts brand of spaghetti sauce was also on sale, for 89 cents a can. So I stocked up on 10 cans of sauce, including meat flavored, four cheese and traditional. The only thing left was to get a variety of cheeses. I bought mozarella, an italian blend of white cheeses, and ricotta. Now I can mix and match a variety of pasta dishes over the next couple of weeks.

Speaking of Fashion

I think it’s wonderful that many fashion shows are requiring the models to have a check up before they can be in their fashion show. I guess the loss of a runway model a year or so ago because of anorexia, the fashion world has had to open their eyes finally. This isn’t just a problem with models, it’s also a problem for young girls too. Watch this and see if the information helps you or can help someone else. I sure hope so!!

It’s Friday and a 3 day weekend too!!

Well all I have to say is thank goodness it’s Friday and we have a long weekend too. Do you have big plans? Well we do. We’re going to the beach for the holiday and celebrate Labor Day and the end of summer the right way. That would be soaking up some sun, salt water and grilling out all weekend long.

I really hope all of you have a safe and happy Labor Day. Enjoy!!!!

It’s almost Labor Day

Boy has this summer flown by or what? I can’t believe that it’s almost Labor Day already. The one thing I hate about Labor Day is having to bring in my hummingbird feeders. I love seeing them around but if you don’t bring them in by Labor Day, then the little things will stay around too long and if they do, then there’s a chance they might not make it to their winter home. I sure don’t want that to happen so just remember, BRING IN YOUR HUMMINGBIRD FEEDERS!!

Now is the time of day when it’s time to sit back, unwind and relax from the long hot day at work. Wait a minute, it’s Friday, that means I can stay up late and watch old movies because I don’t have to get up in the morning. Imagine that, I forgot it was Friday. Now I have to make plans for the weekend. Guess I better start that right now.

This is the cutest thing I have seen in quite sometime. I’m sure you’ll get a good laugh out of it too!!

Two elderly women were eating breakfast in a restaurant one morning. Ethel noticed something funny about Mabel’s ear and she said,

“Mabel, do you know you’ve got a suppository in your left ear?”

Mabel answered, “I have a suppository in my ear?” She pulled it out and stared at it.

Then she said, “Ethel, I’m glad you saw this thing. Now I think I know where to find my hearing aid.”

It’s finally Friday and man has it been a long week or what? It seems like it rained everyday this past two weeks and I’m so tired of rain, even if we did need it, that it’s not funny. I’m ready for some fun in the sun. One of my friends parents has a home on the water so we’re all invited to their house for a cookout. They have a dock and we can do a little fishing and maybe just catch a few rays.

I just hope I don’t get sun burnt. Yes I use sunblock but I have such fair skin that sometimes I still get burnt because I try not to put the total sunblock on so I can get a little color. The problem is usually that color is red instead of tan. I guess that’s what I get. Maybe I’ll be a little more careful this year so I don’t damage my skin.

I watched the weather this morning and it’s supposed to be an absolutely perfect weekend. It’s going to be in the 80’s. Well that’s a bit hot to me but I’m not complaining. For the past several weekends it has either rained or been cold so a little hot, I’ll take it. Some friends and I are planning a picnic at Great Falls. If you watched Good Morning America the other day then you saw Sam Champion there. It’s always been a favorite place of mine to go for a picnic or just to relax for awhile. I hope you have some relaxing plans for the weekend!! Have a good one!!

Spring Break!!

I bet you’re wondering why anyone would take time out from their spring break to write a blog??? Well it’s sort of like writing in your diary anyway so why wouldn’t I then? I don’t know about you where you are headed but we go to Myrtle Beach for spring break. I bet most of you already know that it’s in South Carolina but just in case you don’t, Myrtle Beach IS in South Carolina!!! I came down with my roommates.

We went to ‘Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede’ and had the best time. The food was great and the show was really something to see. If you go to Myrtle Beach, you have to check that place out. We went to T.I.G.E.RS. wild life preserve today and basically had about the best time we have ever had and we’ve been going to Myrtle Beach for quite some time. We usually rent a house at Holden Beach and just go to Myrtle for the day. It’s only about 35 miles away so you can still go to Myrtle when you want to do something specific that they don’t have at Holden Beach. I like Holden Beach better because there’s a whole lot less people. It’s more of a family based beach. We’ll be headed home Saturday to try and beat some traffic since we’ve been here since Monday anyway. Then it’s back to work!!!
