My neighbor asked me about life insurance

I guess knowing that I work in an office with a lot of lawyers and other business men made my neighbor think I would know more about life insurance than I do. I know there is a lot of different types of life insurance out there but I honestly didn’t know that much about them. I had to do a little research to help them out.
I found out that there is life insurance for smokers, which both of them do. They have to tell the insurance company things like that, which I had no idea. But what I really think they were looking for was mortgage insurance coverage. I’m pretty sure what started them to thinking about that was one of our neighbors husbands passed away and they didn’t have mortgage insurance. The lady was forced to sell her home because she couldn’t afford the monthly payments. One thing I learned was just how important life insurance is and how affordable it is too.
