Hard times for inmates

A friend of mine lives in Ft. Myers, Florida and was telling me that her brother got into some trouble and is in jail. I really hated hearing that too because he’s only 16 years old too. It’s really her mothers boyfriends son so it’s sort of a step-brother I guess you would say.
Anyway, she said that they don’t give them very much food in that jail as it is and now she has learned that they are cutting the budget by $80,000. Just this week, they really saw the food portions drop and there’s less and less meat available to them too. They are being fed more rice and bread, less milk and meat. A growing 16 year old needs milk and meat to grow. What a shame but everything is losing funding or cutting jobs and Florida has been hit really hard it seems.
