Feeling “improved”
Posted By nikki on November 23, 2008
A lot of people have been asking me if I’m “better” since I’ve been on this new course of antibiotics. I have to catch myself from saying “yes” because I’ve found that if I say “yes” that people think that I am feeling 100% well, and that’s not the case at all! I’m feeling “better” than I was when I was really sick, but I am not feeling “completely cured.” So I’ve taken to saying that I’m feeling “improved, but not cured.” At least I’m well enough to go to work! I hate staying home sick all day; it’s boring!
People give me really funny looks when I say that! I really don’t know any other way to convey that I don’t feel as bad as I did, but that I’m not 100% well. I wonder what THEY do. I think the next time someone asks me, I’m going to ask them what THEY say in that situation!
