Japan’s Prime Minister resigns

I was surprised to read that Japan’s Prime Minster has resigned. Seems that he has reviewed his effectiveness and decided he wasn’t being effective enough and that the job was more difficult than he had expected, he had met with more opposition than he expected.
I sometimes think that government officials in the western world should take a lesson from politicians in other countries. There are definitely some ineffective government officials around here that I’d like to see resign!
